It Is Your Fault

Don’t tell me it’s not your fault,
Don’t tell me you are the white horse,
If only life was as black and white,
Unfortunately for you, it’s shades of grey

You liked that post,
Forwarded that tweet,
Cursed the ones at top of food chain,
Blamed that religious clan you never bothered to talk to,
Having doing your bit, now you sit back, and
Judge others.

But what about those crying kids wondering whether their school will be a pile of ashes come tomorrow morning?
What about that mother wondering if she will get to talk to her family come dawn?

You didn’t do your bit,
You didn’t use your voice,
You didn’t use your education,
You didn’t use your brain,

So, don’t tell me it’s not your fault.
